Can you explain the mechanics of swooplet?
The web application opens via a secure, self-expiring private link, providing an interface to remotely manipulate all swooplet-enabled products worn by an avatar.
This functionality mimics how a heads-up display (HUD) communicates with a product.
How can I obtain and delete a secure private link?
The
swooplet-enabled products come with a lightweight mini head-up display (HUD) device that allows to manage unique secure private links.
- mini-HUD v2: Look for start and stop buttons on the main interface.
See the help page for details. - mini-HUD v1: Click the HUD to open a dialog with buttons to start and stop the links.
What happens if I don't manually delete the secure private link?
It will self-expire.
- A link made using the v2 mini-HUD will self-expire in 3 hours.
- A link made using the v1 mini-HUD will self-expire after either 1 or 3 hours, based on the initial choice made during its generation.
Do I generate a secure private link for every product?
No. A secure private link consolidates all the products with the
swooplet functionality worn by a user.
Attachment after the web application is open? Simply refresh the browser!
How many links can be valid simultaneously?
Only one valid link can exist per avatar.
We are working on optional additional links with limited permissions that users can share with friends.
How many swooplet mini-HUDs should I keep?
Since all mini-HUDs are identical, keeping just one instance, preferably
v2, should be enough.
Mini-HUDs used to have different store logos, but starting with v2, they all became the same.
Can I use the built-in web browser?
Yes. It integrates seamlessly with the rest of the 3D viewport, which might be exactly what you prefer. Simply right-click the secure private link when it gets displayed in a dialog and choose "Open in Internal Browser".
Expect slightly longer warm-up time, reduced pixel clarity, slower mouse responses, and less smooth scrolling in the Internal Browser component of the 3D viewport.
Do you have any tips on how to keep the swooplet interface on top of the 3D viewer?
Sure.
Browsers like
Arc (Chrome-based) can be easily configured to show only the website's content.
Tools like
PowerToys offer an
"Always on Top" feature, which allows you to keep any window above others using a shortcut (
Ctrl+Win+T by default).
Do multiple open pages of the same private link automatically synchronize?
No. Please refresh the page to see changes made in another browser.
As we progress in development, we will consider automatic synchronization.
What was your motivation for creating swooplet?
We love products full of features and many ways to customize them. We wanted to make the customization process more user-friendly, and it was clear that a web browser was the best choice. There were other reasons too; to discover them, visit our

What do you mean by saying 'Early Access'?
The creator's editor interface is currently available exclusively to a select group of stores.
